This will be an ongoing series of selfish little things people do that they probably don't even think about. These are not in order of magnitude, just whatever pops into my brain, or something I may have observed recently.
Today's selfishness is about: Shopping Carts.
Thats right, shopping carts. But dude, you say, how can shopping carts be selfish?? Of course, it's not the carts that are selfish, but the people who park them without thinking of anyone but themselves.
Here's an example :
Now, you might be thinking, what's the big deal? If you're thinking that, then you're probably one of those selfish people.
How much effort would it have taken to walk the cart another 10 feet so it was inside the corral? I'm basically a lazy person, but I try to make sure my laziness only affects me.
But in this case, you're affecting people trying to park, the employees who collect the carts, etc.
Some selfish people even go to the effort of propping the front wheels of the cart onto the curb of an island or divider, but obviously can't be bothered to move the cart to a designated spot.
Still can't be bothered to care?
How about this scenario. Your neighbor borrows your hedge trimmers. You're friends, so you have no qualms about letting them borrow your stuff.
A week goes by, and they haven't returned it. When asked, the neighbor says "I tossed it into your yard a few days ago. I figured that was close enough."
Does that clear it up a bit? If not, then you're most likely a chronic selfish person. You probably drive a motorcycle to boot.
The moral of the story is, don't be selfish.
